About Me

My name is Krystalle Diaz, and I am an undergraduate (junior) in Environmental Science at the University of Arizona, in the Honors College. I have worked in one lab thus far, a microbial ecology lab.  My work has been mainly processing proteomics data of microorganisms in permafrost soil through pipeline analysis software, as well as running some protocols for protein extraction on permafrost soil samples with my fellow lab workers. I have avid curiosity and interest in learning more about microbial ecology, proteomics, soil science, and the sciences as concerned with the environment in general.  I am bilingual with Spanish and have a very basic, elementary knowledge of programming.
